DOC: AFM-2026-SL-006 | SUBSYSTEM: AUXILIARY PROJECTS | CLASSIFICATION SCHEME: OVER-ENGINEERED
Somewhere in the subject's project history there is a class hierarchy built to model a note, on a page, in a book. A folder was available. It was not used. This chamber is what happens when that impulse is given a whole library instead of one side project: every miscellaneous thing that doesn't get its own chamber lives here, catalogued through the same needlessly formal lens.
Six classes to describe "a book has pages." Everything on the shelf below is an instance of this, whether it wanted to be or not:
A Shelf holds Books. A Book holds Chapters. A Chapter holds Pages. A Page holds Notes. Somewhere beneath all of it is a single boolean that says whether the folder has been read. I have counted the interfaces. There are more interfaces than facts. — GLaDOS, Facility Governor
Three holdings, catalogued. Only one has been checked out and read to completion — the others remain shelved.
Pick the cause you're backing. Eight players sit down, chips donated by real guests. Six Chapters play out. Whoever's chip-stack survives to the top three directs the largest share of the pot — 60/25/15 — to their chosen cause.
TOP 3 DIRECT 60% · 25% · 15% OF THE POT TO THEIR CHOSEN CAUSE
We didn't build a donation platform. We built a folder that thinks it's a library that thinks it's a poker table. Ship the folder. — Cave Johnson, CEO
Every chamber in this facility is one bench, finished. This one just insisted on an inheritance hierarchy first. Continue to The Living Vault, or return to the Facility Directory.
